Oh boy, 468 credit unions made the “HP” list this year...based on their 2010 performance. That's a 20% jump over last year. So things are going in the right direction— even in the face of the troublesome assessments levied by the NCUA in its effort to recover from the huge “corporate” debacle. In fact, without the assessments, there would have been quite a few more CUs (with positive ROAs) on the “HP” list.

Still, as consumer banking continues to be so competitive, our future really boils down to this: Are our members doing their banking with US, or are they doing it at other banking places?
